Last Days in Thailand

HOT food, nice people, gorgeous weather, and a beautiful landscape. What more could you want from a vacation in Thailand?

We spent a few more days down at the beach, and were able to hook up with our friends Alli and Chris again. One evening, we decided to try the Tiger Temple near Krabi town. Here is a snapshot of Chris and I from the top (after 1,300 steps and 2,000 vertical feet).

We spent one glorious day on Chicken Island, lounging on the soft sandy beach and swimming in the clear cool water. It was heaven.

Yesterday, John and I ventured into the mammoth shopping mall that is PLATINUM. A recommendation from our friends, Platinum has 6-floors and 2,000 shops of just about anything you’d ever want to wear. I walked out of there with 4 new outfits for about $60 USD. We celebrated our purchases with drinks atop the “Dome Bar,” made famous by the Hangover, Part II.

We are so thankful for our generous and thoughtful hosts, David and Evelyn. They made our trip to Thailand much more interesting.

Although we had a wonderful time here, we look forward to moving on to our next destination. Cape Town will have a different feel for us, as it’s our jumping off point for Namibia. Stay up to date as we transition to our new home!Bangkok City View
