We are gearing up to hit the road this morning….bound for Namibia! The drive from Cape Town to Windhoek is about 17 hours, and we are doing it in two days.
What have we been doing in the last two weeks? Well, we drove nearly the entire Garden Route and back. The Garden Route was absolutely gorgeous, and worth doing if you’re ever in the Western Cape. Along the way, we went to a few wildlife sanctuaries, including a cat park, Monkeyland, and a free-flying bird sanctuary.
We also went to the Cape Point, which is the most Southwestern point of Africa. We stood there feeling like we were at the end of the earth. Basically it IS at the end of the Earth. The next landmass is Antarctica. John took quite a few photos as you’ll see below.
