John has been so busy flying that he’s hardly been home in the last two months. So, as he wraps up the busy season we decided to take a short break and visit our friend Natalia in Zanzibar.

I didn’t originally plan this trip as our honeymoon. But, since it’s the first trip since our wedding and we’re going to a romantic beach destination, it really IS our honeymoon. Or, at least the first act of a grand three-part African honeymoon.

It’s difficult to decide what I’m looking forward to the most: the markets, the food, the beaches, or the culture. But, I do know one thing…I’m ready for a change of scenery. I haven’t left the city of Windhoek for over three months. Yikes!

For part of the time, I’ll be staying with Natalia’s family, making this trip even more special. Be on the lookout for posts and photos soon…
